Not only because the Hendricks County Community Foundation has awarded so many grants, but because it shows how many nonprofi t groups are helping so many facets of our community in so many ways. Last month, the Hendricks County Community Foundation (HCCF) Board of Directors approved over $444,000 in Stronger Together grants to 50 organizations serving the entirety of Hendricks County.
These grants were made possible by Stronger Together Funds, HCCF’s collection of unrestricted funds, including fi eld of interest funds and 81 Family Legacy Funds created by local families to support Hendricks County for generations to come.
“As nonprofits face reductions in federal and state funding alongside declines in small-dollar donations, our committee acted with intention — balancing meaningful seed funding for emerging efforts with larger, transformational investments that will help organizations sustain and scale their impact,” said Eric Hessel, Vice President of Programs. “We remain inspired by our nonprofit partners and confident in their ability to strengthen our communities.”
This flexible grant program is designed to meet the changing needs of nonprof ts and the people they serve. It provides ongoing, unrestricted funding that enables organizations to respond to community challenges as they arise.
