Renee is a mom of two, wife, and lifelong learner. After graduating from Plainfield High School, she earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Indiana University in Bloomington. She holds additional degrees from Ball State in literacy education and from IU in school librarianship. After teaching and working in libraries for twenty years, her shift to The Republican newspaper has allows her to educate the community about the incredible efforts of our local school districts and their students. 

Outside of the office, you can find her reading, writing, coloring, birdwatching, hiking, or at a sporting event. She loves to travel, especially to state and national parks.
