PRINTER / LINOTYPE OPERATOR

Favorite Section of Newspaper:

The entire thing. There is always something educational in the paper.

Phil is a widowed father of three adult daughters and the proud grandfather of five. He is a graduate of Danville High School, class of 1959. Phil started in the printing trade at the age of 16 at the Danville Gazette. After 10 years at the Gazette he worked for Weimer Typesetting in Indianapolis for 20 years before opening his own business, The Printer.

After retiring 20 years ago Phil spent several years volunteering for the local therapeutic riding stables in Stilesville and Pittsboro, helping with both the horses and facilities management. Today, if he's not volunteering here at the Republican he can often be found working outside in his yard or the barn.
