Jerry was born in Indianapolis but in the third grade moved to the east coast to Dover, Delaware..  Jerry grew up in a diverse community. He had friends and classmates from Korea, Japan, Bolivia and many other places around the world. He had no idea at the time, but growing up in a mini “melting pot”, Jerry was exposed to much more diversity than the average kid from the midwest. 

Jerry moved back to Indiana in the late 1980s to give midwest living a try. In 1992 he married his wife Ginny and they have three grown children and one great grandchild at the moment. 

He began his real estate career in 1992 and after a few years practicing residential real estate brokerage he switched over to commercial real estate and focused on land acquisition for development. Most of his business was in booming Hendricks County. After more than thirty years practicing real estate Jerry has built significant relationships in every sector of the county. 

Jerry had no intention or dream of owning a newspaper but one day when inquiring about a building on the square in Danville, one thing led to another and he found himself owning a newspaper that had been serving the people of Hendricks since before the Civil War. Don’t make the mistake of asking him how he came to own it. He can talk for hours on the subject.
