Kirsten Hiser Simon was born and raised in Danville, Indiana and has been the Advertising Manager at The Republican newspaper since 2020. She is married to Lance Simon and is the proud mother of three children: Ty, Julia, and Adele. A graduate of Danville High School, she then earned a degree in Geography and Marketing from Ball State University. Kirsten plays a vital role in supporting local businesses through strategic advertising initiatives, reflecting her commitment to community engagement and economic development. She finds it especially rewarding to help the community be seen by others. Kirsten values the collaborative spirit of The Republican team, which she says makes her job both easier and fun. 

Beyond her work in media, Kirsten is also a passionate visual artist. She creates a diverse array of artworks, including oils, acrylics, mixed media pieces, and accessories when time allows. Kirsten also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, gardening, attending swim meets, and an occasional horse race.
