Hendricks County Treasure Hunt (small town edition)
Treasure Hunt
Let’s have some fun this week. For the last 30 years I have been getting to know this county. From the east branch of White Lick Creek in Plainfield to the Big Walnut Creek in North Salem.
Ginny and I were out driving around the other day talking about all the great little towns in the county. We were walking around North Salem waiting for a pizza from Perillo’s and wondered how many people don’t know about North Salem, or Amo, or Coatesville.
So we started a little treasure hunt in the towns of Amo, Coatesville, Lizton, and North Salem.
There are two Kennedy half dollars in each of the towns. The pictures along with their captions and a little effort from you are all the clues you will need.
If you live in these towns and you find these coins, there is nothing to stop you from taking them. But, if you leave it for others to find, take a picture with the coin and we will put your picture in the newspaper.
They are in public spaces. They are visible and easy to retrieve. Good luck.
